6 km

of viaduct deck slab, as recorded in the team’s professional experience.

What is a deck slab?

It forms part of the viaduct’s structural platform carrying the railway system. Its role is to receive loads acting on the deck and transfer them to the supporting elements.

Metro & transport

Construction scopes performed.

Hermanas Mirabal viaduct

Construction of 6 km of viaduct deck slab for Line 1 of the Santo Domingo Metro.

The deck slab forms part of the structural platform carrying the Metro along its elevated route. This reference covers construction of that slab along the Hermanas Mirabal–Mamá Tingó section, rather than all railway systems or station works.

Rail viaduct over the Isabela River

Construction of the upper deck slab of the rail viaduct for Line 1 of the Santo Domingo Metro.

The upper slab forms part of the deck carrying trains over the river. It is a structural component of the Isabela railway crossing and provides continuity to the platform along which Line 1 runs.

Line 1 elevated stations

Construction of platforms for elevated stations of the Santo Domingo Metro.

Platforms are the spaces where passengers wait, board and leave trains. Their construction forms part of the infrastructure for passenger circulation and access within elevated stations.

Line 2B ventilation

Construction of ventilation works between stations 21 and 22 of the Santo Domingo Metro.

Work for air exchange and circulation in the section between stations 21 and 22. Ventilation is part of the infrastructure needed for underground railway spaces to function.

Line 2B tunnel drainage

Construction of the central drainage system in the mined tunnel of the Santo Domingo Metro.

Central drainage collects and conveys water reaching the tunnel interior. It is an element of the underground infrastructure that channels this water along the mined tunnel.

Roads

Construction scopes performed.

Hermanas Mirabal / Charles de Gaulle underpass

Construction of side walls at the intersection of the two avenues.

The side walls form the structural boundaries of the underpass and define the road space at a different level from the intersection. The experience covers their construction at this avenue junction.

Avenida V Centenario underpasses

Construction of stormwater drainage at the Tunti Cáceres and Peña Batlle street intersections.

Stormwater drainage works collect and convey rainfall runoff at the underpasses. This infrastructure addresses the need to evacuate water that can collect at low points along the road alignment.

Los Almácigos–Comate road

Road construction in Monte Plata.

Road infrastructure linking Los Almácigos and Comate in Monte Plata. Road construction establishes a surface and alignment for vehicle movement between the places it connects.

Water & sanitation

Construction scopes performed.

Caucedo water supply

Construction of the Caucedo water supply system for Bouygues Construction.

The water supply system forms part of the project’s water infrastructure. Bouygues Construction contracted the team for this work. The archive photograph shows the port setting during construction; it does not identify every water supply component on its own.

Mega Port, Andrés, Boca Chica

Construction of the port stormwater drainage system.

Stormwater drainage collects and conveys rainfall runoff within a port setting. This experience concerns that water infrastructure and is kept separate from the Caucedo water supply system, which serves a different function.

Guachupita sewerage

Construction of sanitary sewerage in Guachupita.

Sanitary sewerage conveys wastewater from buildings into the sanitation system. Its purpose differs from stormwater drainage and water supply, both also represented in the team’s experience.

Los Mameyes sewerage

Construction of sanitary sewerage in Los Mameyes.

Infrastructure for collecting and conveying the neighborhood’s wastewater. The recorded work is sanitary sewerage; the Los Mameyes water supply work appears as a separate project reference.

Villa Tapia and El Seibo sewerage

Construction of sanitary sewerage systems.

Construction of sanitation infrastructure to convey wastewater in both locations. These networks serve a function complementary to the treatment plants also included in the team’s professional experience.

Canca La Reyna and Don Juan water supply

Construction of water supply systems in the named locations.

Water supply systems convey water to the communities they serve. This experience covers construction work on that supply infrastructure in Canca La Reyna and Don Juan.

Los Mameyes water supply

Construction of a water supply system in Los Mameyes, Santo Domingo Este.

Construction work on the water supply system in Los Mameyes, Santo Domingo Este. Its function differs from the area’s sanitary sewerage network, which conveys wastewater.

Guachupita water supply

Construction of a water supply system in Guachupita, Distrito Nacional.

Construction of water supply infrastructure in Guachupita, Distrito Nacional. This reference is distinct from the sanitary sewerage and housing projects carried out in the same neighborhood.

Treatment plants

Construction of treatment plants in Villa Tapia and El Seibo.

Treatment plants bring together processes and infrastructure to treat water before its subsequent destination. They form a distinct stage of water and sanitation infrastructure alongside the conveyance networks.

Design direction

Project direction for design work.

Jiguey, Aguacate and Las Barías

Project direction for the design of the Jiguey and Aguacate dams and the Las Barías counter-reservoir.

The role was project direction for the design of these hydraulic works. This concerns directing the design work, rather than construction of the dams or counter-reservoir.

Irrigation canals supplied by the Nizao River

Project direction for the design of canal rehabilitation works.

Project direction for canal rehabilitation design: technical planning concerning existing water infrastructure. The recorded scope is rehabilitation design, rather than construction of the rehabilitation works.

Each reference describes the work performed. This record includes prior professional experience and does not imply that every contract was carried out by IGLESCONS, S.R.L.
